Special gifts granted by Pope Leo XIII for the Shrine of Lujan

September 30, 1886. Father Jorge M. Salvaire is received in Rome by the Holy Father Leo XIII, who grants him the great and important grace of the Pontifical Coronation of the Holy Image and the institution of a Solemn Feast of the Virgin of Lujan. The precious crown had been made in France with jewels offered by the Argentine ladies and was blessed on that occasion by the Holy Father.
