Transfer of the Image to the Montalbo Chapel

December 8, 1685. The Holy Image is transferred to the first chapel built in its honor by its first chaplain, Father Pedro de Montalbo, who being seriously ill had made a pilgrimage to Lujan to ask the Virgin to intercede for his health and being miraculously cured, will remain until his death in her service. The miracle probably happened during the novena to the Immaculate Conception in 1684.
